Introducing my new Lubilou kilims. The backgrounds of each are handwoven in solid colours including earthy emerald greens and mustardy ochres and the all over design is a smorgasbord of vibrant hand knotted colour! These exciting new additions to the collection are also a wonderful way to use up the excess wool leftover in the process of rug making. This surplus wool which has already been spun and dyed is collected together to make the hand knotted tufts within the Lubilou. The result is an interesting, textural piece which is utterly unique and is another step into improving sustainability.
